- As a final PARP event, West End Elementary School will host Dan Greenburg, author of "The Zack Files" series and "The Secret of the Dripping Fang" series and Judith Greenburg, author of the "Andrew Lost" series.
- Catholic Schools Week continues Friday as Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook holds "Supermarket Bingo." Doors open at 6:30PM, and games begin at 7:00PM. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children.
- Kelly Stapleton, who organizes the annual Lynbrook Pool Swim Across America event which raises funds to fight cancer, has been nominated for an award for her efforts. With enough support Kelly can win the award, but we need your help! Check back today to read the story and learn how you can vote for Kelly.
- Today marks the seventh annual American Heart Association National Wear Red Day for Women to raise awareness that cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 health threat facing women today. Go Red For Women and show your commitment to reducing risk, improving health and saving women’s lives. Some of the activities planned for this year can be viewed on their website www.americanheart.org and www.goredforwomen.org.
